Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th, 1961) is an American actress. Her work has been recognized for film and television in the 1980s, she's been awarded numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She was born and raised at home in New York New York. Bassett as well as her younger sister who were about five years old, made the move away from the city of their birth to St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their separated father. Bassett was in high school and, saw John Steinbeck's production Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. Following her graduation from Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with the Bachelor's degree in African American Studies, she went on to earn a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She was married in 1997. was married Courtney B. Vance who was also an actor. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1981. Masters in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working as one of the main roles in the film Ramonda in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
